Problems we solve

"The panels are the wrong length!"

Every mistake costs you. Paid crew standing around, margin getting thinner, deadline creeping closer, customer losing confidence.

We’re not promising zero mistakes. But when there is a mistake, our goal is same-day resolution. We’ll work on it until you’re back to work instead of haggling back and forth about who’s to blame.

Our commitment is to keep you working and your project on track.

How you get started

From your first call, you’re already getting help.

From quote to building, every step is built to keep you focused on the work.

  1. Request quote

Tell us about your project. We'll respond with a clear quote, planning input, and (if you want it) a free 3D rendering. Approve when you're ready, and the order goes in.

  2. Schedule delivery

Tell us when you need it and how you want it. We deliver to your jobsite or hold it in our secured pickup yard, with standard orders ready in 24 hours.

  3. Start building

Our support doesn't end at delivery. Same-day mistake resolution, onsite expert visits when you need them, and a 2-hour response window during business hours. When something goes wrong, we resolve first and sort out fault later.

Our commitment to you

Here's what you can count on from us:

  • We pick up the phone not an automated voice system.
  • We have standard orders ready in 24 hours.
  • We've been on the jobsite, not just behind a desk.
  • We'll tell you when a cheaper product is the right one for your project.
  • We fix mistakes before assigning fault.

About us

Before we sold metal, we built with it.

Two generations on the jobsite came before the first order shipped. We've measured the bad cuts, eaten the slow lead times, and lost the margin to mistakes you shouldn't have to.

David Wagler grew up in construction. His dad ran a metal shop and built pole barns. David eventually had his own metal roofing crew. He'd seen what contractors needed because he'd needed it himself. So in 2018, he opened Wagler Metal Sales. Read David's full story.

It’s not about metal. It’s about adding value to others. This is the best way I know to do that. I want to share with our employees, with our customers, and with the community.

We value all people, regardless if we profit from them.

This is our core value and we believe it's why our customers all tell us the same story: when they become a customer they don’t want to do business with anyone else.

Your advantage

Faster jobs. Better builds. Bigger margins. More referrals.

It’s about helping you win on every job. Here’s how.

Finish projects faster

Always in stock. Always on your schedule. Always built around your project, not ours.

  • 24-hour lead times

Standard materials are stocked and ready within 24 hours, often within 2 hours. Standing seam takes 1-2 weeks because it’s roll-formed onsite for a precise fit.

  • Anytime pickup

Pick up your material after hours in our secured, camera-monitored yard. Get what you need before the crew gets to the jobsite.

  • Jobsite delivery

We deliver straight to your jobsite, so your crew isn't losing billable hours picking up material. Schedule delivery to arrive before install starts.

Quality that sets you apart

The kind of quality people see from the driveway.

  • American-made thick-gauge steel

Our 29-gauge metal is sourced domestically from SDI in Butler, Indiana. It’s the thicker version, so you can walk on it without bending and it hides purlins for a more polished finish.

  • Exact color match every time

We use Sherwin-Williams paint so the color you order is the color you get. No off-tone surprises when the trim doesn't match the panels.

  • Custom trim and panel lengths

Trim pieces formed to your specs and panels cut to your exact lengths. Less waste, less time spent cutting on the jobsite, and a factory-precise fit.

Service that adds to your bottom line

The work we do before delivery is the work that protects your margin on the jobsite.

  • The Wagler Way: onsite training

Nail your first metal job with hands-on training at your jobsite. Are you switching from shingles to metal? We'll teach your crew best practices in building with metal. We'll cover planning, measuring, and installation.

  • Turnkey building packages

From frame to fasteners, we supply the full shell of your building. If you need an installer, we'll connect you with one of the trusted GCs we work with daily.

  • Project planning support

We help you measure, quote, and plan before the order is placed. Catching mistakes here means they don't cost you on the jobsite.

Customers we serve

Most builders care about material price, then level of service, then material quality.

Ours care about value first. They get healthier margins, stronger reputations, and customers who refer them.

We don’t compete with the big box stores on price. But where we can compete and where we win is on value to you. That’s why we never have one-off customers. After contractors choose us, they keep coming back for every job.

  • Contractors

You’re known for finishing on time without sacrificing quality. We help you keep that reputation with fast lead times, fast issue resolution, and a team that knows your project before your truck pulls in.

  • Lumber yards

You’re the supplier your customers count on. We help you with stocked products, 24-hour turnaround, and by treating your customers as yours, not ours — they can’t buy directly from us.

  • DIY home builders

You’re building something you’ll live with for decades. We help you pick the right product, plan the order, and connect with a trusted contractor when you’re ready to build.

Cost vs value

He came in asking about price.

Three days later he walked out with the right product, an installer he trusted, and an answer to a question he didn't know to ask.

Most customers come in asking "how much?" These are the questions that actually matter:

  1. What's the best product for my specific project?
  2. How fast and reliably can I get my material?
  3. Is the quality actually different? (Not all metal is the same.)
  4. What happens when something goes wrong mid-build?
  5. Can I trust the people behind it? (Both the metal and, if you need one, the installer.)

When you have answers to those, the price question takes care of itself.

  2. Get your materials onsite

Your material shows up on your schedule, delivered to the jobsite or picked up from our yard.

  3. Build your project

Build with people who've laid metal themselves. Onsite installation advice, same-day mistake resolution, and trusted GCs if you need installation help.
